So, here we are... June.

I've sort of had writers block for a few days, unable to move out of May and into a new month. Maybe I just wanted to celebrate my Birthday a teeny bit longer! But thats ok!

This week I got creative, something I've been struggling to do for a while, but I had boxes full of Ribbons & some big wooden curtain rings (as you do! - anyone who is a crafty hoarder will understand these are normal things to have to hand - along with stick on Googly Eyes and approximately three thousand Buttons)

The picture above shows the end result... I guess they would be described as Ribbon Mobiles - I just like to describe them as pretty! They make me happy when I sit outside and watch them fluttering in the wind. Even on a dull wet day. I've always been a fan of Bunting and Vintage Garden Party Style Decor and I think these really fit the bill... and they'll look even better when they're a bit wind battered and faded. Shabby Chic - if you will.

So this month, as seems to be happening alot lately, something happened to me that has never happened before. I became host to a Tick 🤢 If anyone has ever been unfortunate enough to be dinner to one of these little blighters, I know you will agree, they are the most grotesque of passengers - especially right in the middle of your tummy! Panic naturally ensued and tweezers were deployed - however a trip to my local Medical Centre was required and a lovely Nurse stayed late to extract said little blighters mouth parts from my skin 🤢 (Thank you so much Frances at Winchcombe Medical Centre - I hope you weren't too late for your Pump Class!) I am traumatised, but Tick free.

Other than the Tick excitement - June has so far been quiet - which is nice. I see this as the passageway into the 'proper' Summer, where we can look forward to a little bit of sun and the longest day. I await the first Rose on my Rose Arch and get genuinely excited when it's 'Warm enough to eat outside' Get the BBQ ON! The Roses are blooming like crazy and this is what I wait for all year. The other bloom I eagerly wait for every year is my one Giant Lily, usually around July 13th ❤️

My goal this month is to celebrate getting my Garden Design Service underway - shake off the Imposter Sydrome that sometimes envelopes me - and enjoy June.... Happy June everyone - leave me a ❤️ if you like....
